Auch die Metro hat ein Soft Opening. In Betrieb geht ja vorerst nur die Red Line. Von den 29 Stationen gehen ab 9.9. 10 in Betrieb. Der Rest bis Maerz 2010

Du musst NOL Cards kaufen. (Paper Tickets gibts wohl auch, aber die Automaten gehen noch nicht und heute ist der 6.9) Ab 9.9 vorerst nur in Silber. Kannst aber mit den NOL Cards auch zB die Wassertaxen nutzen. Also, mit der Metro zur Station X, ab ins Wassertaxi und fertig. Achtung, Wassertaxi ist nicht Abra.
Demnaechst kannst Du mit einem Wassertaxi von der Dubai Marin bis den Creek hoch fahren.
Wie lange das Ding dann unterwegs ist, keine Ahnung.Der Rest hier:

- The maximum fare for a single journey will be Dh6.5 in case of using a paper ticket and Dh5.8 in case of using the card.
-The fares will be valid for trains, public buses and the water buses tocomplete a single journey. Meaning, a passenger using a metro cancontinue his trip on buses without paying any additional fare.

Zumindest ist man zur jetzigen Zeit deutlich schneller als mit dem Auto...

Gibt es in Sachen neu geöffneter Metrostationen irgendwelche Neuigkeiten? Wann wird die Red Line vollständig fertig bzw. alle Haltestellen benutzbar sein? Bin Anfang Februar in Dubai, da wäre es toll wenn die Bahn dann schon überall anhält.Lg Friedrich

der Weiterbau ist lt. aktuellen Meldungen gestoppt - Geldmangel und offene Rechnungen. Wieweit sind davon auch die Haltestellen der schon fertigen Trasse betroffen? Sind ja nur wenige Haltestellen offen. Wird sich die Freigabe hier auch verzögern? Weiß jemand Näheres?
Wir sind Ende März in Dubai und würden gerne die Metro benutzen. Toll, das zumindest die Haltestelle direkt bei unserem Hotel offen ist.Lg und danke,

Hallo, es gab im laufe des Tages einige Meldungen, dass der Ausbau der Metro wegen finanzieller Probleme gestoppt sein soll.
Allerdings wird dies dementiert.

Wer weiß, ob die Metro-Station am Burj Chalifa bei dessen Eröffnung auch eröffnet wurde?
Habe diese Nachricht in einem anderen Forum gelesen, selbst aber im Internet nichts darüber gefunden.Danke und liebe Grüße Hannelore

sind denn inzwischen neben dieser am Burj Chalifa auch noch andere als die 10 Stationen vom letzten Jahr eröffnet worden? Ich dachte, die anderen würden sich verzögern.

fährt am Freitag die Metro wirklich erst ab 14 Uhr? Habe so etwas gelesen.
Kann ich mir aber eigentlich nicht vorstellen. Weiß das jemand?
