Wir sind schon sehr oft in Ft. Myers und Cape Coral gewessen.
Sanibel auf jeden fall, auch John Ding Darling Park auf Sanibel
ist ein besuch wert. (see  J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge).
 
Wenn ihr euch für John Ford und/oder Thomas Edison interesiern
oder für wie die beiden im urlaub gelebt haben denn auf jeden fall
Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers besuchen.  Edison's
laboratory hoch interessant.
 
Um nach Sanibel zu kommen muss man eine Toll (maut) bezahlen $6.00
Mann kann nur sehr begrenst am strand.  Meist private grundstücke.
Überall muss man parking bezahlen.  Circa 2 dollar pro stunde!

Ein natur reservat das umsonst ist :  Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve
in Cape Coral (across the river from Ft. Myers).  Check : www.capecoral.net/government/parksrecreation/parksfacilities
 
Fort Myers Beach ist ein meilen langer strand.  Hotels, condos, shops etc.  Tiki Bars
on the beach.  Am nord ende überlaufen, je weiter sud je leerer.  Immer
Estero Blvd. folgen.
