Our Outback Retreat Safari Tents are designed to offer a unique glamping experience, blending comfort with an authentic connection to the natural surroundings of Kakadu. We understand that expectations can vary, and we are always looking at ways to enhance the guest experience. (Ensuite bathrooms on the way...). Regarding dining, during the Dry Season, both our a la carte restaurant and the Bistro are open to provide a variety of dining options. In the Wet Season, they alternate—our a la carte restaurant closes at 3 PM, at which point the Bistro opens for the afternoon. This ensures guests always have access to freshly prepared meals. Pricing reflects the logistical challenges of sourcing quality ingredients in a remote location while maintaining our service standards. The off-season does mean fewer guests, allowing for a peaceful and immersive experience in Kakadu, but we acknowledge that certain services and activities may be more limited during this time. We encourage guests to explore the rich natural and cultural experiences available within the national park.
