Hon Tam Sea & Sun Hotel

The hotel is rather impressive. In former times it might have been the best in Nha Trang - unfortunately there is just a brand new building (still under construction) next to the hotel preventing many rooms from having sight on the ocean. In our case this building site was a disaster for the first night. Instead of the booked "Superior Double Bed" room we got an upgrade to very pretty and nice suite. When I opened the window I was looking on the "terrace" of the new construction with many workers still being busy. We were assured by the receptionist, that after 9 p.m. there won't be any more construction work. This was correct until 1:30 a.m. - they started to concrete the terrace and the concrete vibrator woke us up. Read about how they managed the situation and you will understand that after short and heavy reaction I was more than content with our stay there. The other guests mostly are from Russia, nice people anyway. I only mention it because Russian is the first foreign language in Nha Trang. All areas are very clean and the food is very tasty - we enjoyed our meals there.

Well, we had a suite instead of the booked Superior Double Room. Whatever you are thinking about it was there. We enjoyed our stay and what we can complain is not the fault of this hotel or its staff.

We had only breakfast there but you were able to get a lot of different kind of food. Vietnamese and european buffet - additional a cook prepared fresh omelette.

The staff of this hotel is the capital of the hotel!!! I am already spoiled by the friendlyness of vietnamese people. But people here are outstanding and exceed all I have expected. It started with our check-in when the receptionist lady gave us the upgrade not knowing, that just that night there be concretion work. Being called by me in the night and still sleepy she had to suffer my anger but found another room for us in the hotel - for just 1 silent night. The next morning the hotel manager wanted to refund 1 night but was not able to do so, as we booked through a travel agency in the internet. Then he offered massage for my wife and me as compensation for that night. We accepted. I had already many different types of massage in my life. But this time it was better than ever before. It is highly recommended to go there and have vietnamese massage.

The beach is only about 100 m by foot. Unfortunately there is a big street to be crossed. After the adventure of crossing the street you are in the most beautiful beach promenade I have ever seen. Booking of sightseengs in the hotel is possible if you understand russian ;-) Anyway nearby you find the "SinhTourist" were you can book what you like.

The most important part is on the roof - the swimming pool. We haven't used it as we prefered to go to the ocean. 1 floor lower is the wellness area with the already mentioned best massage.
