Hotel Chobe Safari Lodge

Großes Hotel mit zwei Zimmerkategorien: a) den Rondavels unmittelbar am Fluss und b) den regulären Zimmer im Haupthaus "Kennengelernt" wurden beide Kategorien. Unser - bislang unbeantwortetes - eMail an den Geschäftsführer des Hotels beschreibt prägnant die Lage: To the Managing Director of the Chobe Safari Lodge Kasane, Botswana Dear Sir, We spend two nights in your hotel (30/07/15 - 01/08/15) and have occupied rooms No. 40, 41 and 32 (2 adults in Rondavel No 40, one booking on the spot for our 17 years aged son - Rondavel No 41 one night and room No. 32 one night). Since I stay for professional reasons in many hotels all over the world I would like to provide you with a very straight forward comment about the two Rondavels at Chobe Safari Lodge we have seen: Requesting a room rate of more than 120 US $ for those Rondavels is bold! The bathrooms are simply disgusting, with dirt and mould in every corner. The sleeping rooms provide the charme of a socialist hotel in one of the former Eastern Block countries with cheap and self made furniture, too little plugs (none in the bathroom! ) and an hair dryer which cable is too short to place yourself in front of the mirror. The safe waits to be taken away because he lacks fixing in a wall or even the rickety wardrobe. For getting a river view "some" debushing is necessary... To be honest: I won't pay more than 10 US $ for a hotel room like this in other parts of the world! I will inform my tour operator and hope that future clients of your hotel get (rennovated) Rondavels where the price corresponds much better to the provided standard (or are charged less for an unchanged Rondavel - what I strongly suggest to my tour operator).
