Das Hotel Pompeo ist ein familiär geführtes Hotel mit Zimmern und Apartments, die neu renoviert sind. Zum Hotel gehören ein abgetrennter Parkplatz und eine Tiefgarage. Das Hotel liegt an einer kleinen Straße, die die Küste entlang führt. Es besteht die Möglichkeit je nach Buchung (Voll-/Halbpension) oder Bestellung im hoteleigenen Restaurant zu essen. Man findet im Hotel auch eine Bar und eine hübsche Terrasse. Die Gäste kommen überwiegend aus Italien, Deutschland und England. Die Altersstruktur ist gemischt. Man trifft sowohl auf Familien mit Kindern wie auch auf Singles oder Paare. Unbedingt die Köchin nach Melanzane Parmiggiano fragen! Ein Highlight für jeden Auberginenliebhaber.
Wir wohnten in einem sehr schönen Apartment mit Wohnküche, hübschen, abgetrennten Gartenabschnitt, geräumigen Bad, Schlafzimmer und Terrasse. In der wunderschönen Apartmentanlage fanden wir auch Außenduschen. Die Zimmer/Apartments gibt es in verschiedenen Größen (je nach Personenzahl) und sie sind sowohl praktisch als auch geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Jedes Zimmer/Apartment ist mit Klimaanlage, Safe, TV und Fön ausgestattet.
Je nach Buchung oder Bestellung kann man im hoteleigenen Restaurant essen. Das Essen ist hervorragend für alle, die die italienische Küche lieben. So gibt es zum Beispiel schon zum Frühstück frisch gebackene Croissants (cornetti), die aus der hauseigenen Konditorei stammen. Die Küche bietet ein täglich wechselndes Angebot an landestypischen Speisen; die Zutaten stammen zum Großteil aus eigenem Anbau. Es besteht aber immer auch die Möglichkeit a la carte zu bestellen.
Der Empfang ist sehr freundlich. Die Rezeption ist äußerst hilfsbereit und kompetent.
Zur Anlage gehören ein schöner, gepflegter Strandabschnitt mit Schirmen und Liegen. Das hübsche Ortszentrum Santa Maria di Castellabate ist entweder per Bus oder zu Fuß gut zu erreichen (der Weg am Strand ist sehr zu empfehlen). Gegenüber vom Hotel finden man aber auch einen kleinen aber gut sortierten Supermarkt.

Auf der Hotelterrasse ist immer was los. Am Strand besteht die Möglichkeit Tretboote oder Kanus zu leihen. Das Hotel hat einen kleinen Fitnessraum und eine Sauna.
