Hallo , Wir waren im November 2017 im Kariega in der Main Lodge . Für das Wetter kann nunmal keiner ( wir hatten drei Tage Regen ) , aber wenn man ein Charles ( Nr 1a ) bekommt wo werder ein Kamin noch eine funktionierende Klima Anlage vorhanden , ist es wohl Pech . Aber wenn ich bei 12 Grad duschen muss und meine Kleidung bis zur nächsten Tour nicht trocken bekomme , dann kann man kaum noch von Erholung sprechen ! Und hier wurde geworben mit 5 Sterne ( lächerlich ) und einen Preis von 1700 Euro für drei Übernachtungen . Sorte das ist diese Unterkunft nicht wert .

Dear Claus, We are very sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay and safari with us at Kariega Main Lodge. We are sorry to hear that you had 3 days of rain. While we know this makes for challenging game viewing, we are so appreciative of the rain as we are currently experiencing the worst drought in 100 years. The rain is essential for the wildlife to survive. We would also like to clarify that Main Lodge is a 4-star lodge. This is never advertised as 5-star. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation in private wooden chalets. The one-bedroom chalets do not have fireplaces but all our other chalets do. There are fans and airconditioners in all bedrooms. Our laundry would have been happy to assist to dry your clothing between drives if you had just checked with our friendly management team or your ranger. As you stayed in high season, the rate per night is R4,600 per person. This includes all meals, twice daily safari drives, a river trip and a guided bush walk. We understand that a safari is the most expensive part of your holiday but we try our best to offer value for money, especially when compared to any other safari lodge in southern Africa.
