Highlight: Das Essen war vorzüglich, abwechslungsreich, tolle indische Speisen, super roher Fisch, tolle Desserts... Sehr freundliche Angestellte, vom Zimmerservice, Kellner, Receptionisten bis zu den Animatorinnen und Sportbootverleih Toller, riesengrosser Palmen-Garten, keine störende Musik am Strand, nur 1 Reihe Liegestühle aber: Man darf nicht unter die Wasseroberfläche schauen! Lauter Korallensplitter wegen Dynamitfischen in vergangenen Jahrzehnten... Sehr seichtes Wasser. Teilweise, bei Ebbe, schwimmen nur eingeschränkt möglich. Dafür ist der Strand auf dem Wasser sehr ruhig, ohne störende Motorboote, Wasserski etc. Für Erholung, Postkartenstrand, super Klima, sehr nette Leute zu empfehlen. Zum schwimmen leider nicht geeignet! Schnorchelausflüge sind möglich, das Hotel bietet täglich einen stündigen Gratisausflug mit dem Motorboot an. Katamaran-Tages-Fahrten sind ebenfalls leicht zu buchen. Wenn Flut ist, macht das Funboat segeln Spass. Für geübte auch Surfbretter und Standup-Paddel vorhanden. Auch Tretbootfahren kann man.
Die Zimmer sind funktional eingerichtet. Schön ist, dass man ein eigenes Bungalow hat, mit hoher Decke, also viel Luft.
Trotz der vielen Gäste fühlte ich mich nie eingezwängt. Es ist eine ruhige, entspannte Atmosphäre beim Abendessen. Das Buffet wie gesagt sehr vielseitig - jeden Abend zu einem andern Thema, z.B. Around Asia, around the World, African Meals... es war jeden Abend überraschend. Roher Lachs und Thunfisch, Clamshouder-Suppe: köstlich! Die Grillabende waren gelungen, mit einer Riesenauswahl an Currys, Fleisch und Fischspeisen. All die feinen Desserkreationen waren unwiderstehlich.
Immer freundlich und aufmerksam.
Man kann den Süden und Westen vom Hotel aus sehr gut erkunden. Wir nahmen einen Taxifahrer, der zum Hotel gehört, und waren mit ihm 7 Stunden unterwegs. Er erklärte uns alle Highlights in der Region. Ausflüge per grosser Katamaran sind gut machbar, ca. 25 Min. bis zur exklusiven Marina. Fahrt zum Hotel: Rund 1 h

Dear Marina, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent holiday experiences with us. We are sorry to read that some of the services and facilities at the Resort did not meet up your expectations. It is with much regret that we read that the rooms at La Pirogue which are tucked away in individual grounded thatched bungalows that open privately onto the palm grove and the turquoise lagoon were not to your likings. Also, in line with your comments on the reserved sunbeds, I would like to highlight that like in any other 4 star hotels we do have certain rules and regulations which we request our guests to follow. Our guests are normally requested not to leave any personal belonging or towel on sunbed to reserve it. Be assured that we have taken good not of your comments and shall brief the concerned team members so as to reinforce the established policy and avoid such inconveniences to our valued guests. As for your observations about the prices, I regret that they were not to your satisfaction. However they are found to be at par with all other 4 star resorts on the island as we constantly benchmark our prices in order to remain aligned with Resort of the same categories. It is always our goal to have satisfied customers and would sincerely like to have the opportunity of regaining your confidence in La Pirogue and show you the better side of the resort.
