Eigentlich ein gutes Hotel - freundliche Begrüßung, sehr gutes Restaurant, Kellner absolut auf Zack. Allerdings gab es gleich am Anfang einen Dämpfer. Wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unsere Koffer warten, uns wurden die falschen Gepäckstücke ans Zimmer gebracht, keiner wusste wo die richtigen Koffer sind und wem welche gehören.....kurz gesagt: Chaos pur beim Verteilen von 30 (!) Gepäckstücken! Da wir erst gegen Abend im Hotel angekommen sind, wollten wir nur noch schnell duschen und etwas essen - das wurde durch die Koffersuche dann noch verzögert. Auf den Lodges, die wir davor und auch danach besucht hatten, lief dieser Prozess weitaus besser und schneller. Das Abendessen im Hotel hat uns aber wieder entschädigt - perfekter Service am Tisch und leckeres Essen! Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war sehr gut. Unsere allabendliche Runde hat sich wieder an der Hotelbar getroffen, bei guten Getränken zu verhältnismäßig hohen Preisen. Die Zimmer im Hotel bieten eine tolle Aussicht aufs Meer, sind aber extrem zugig... Ich persönlich würde Lüderitz nicht noch einmal besuchen wollen, in Namibias Süden gibt es definitiv schönere Orte.

Our hotel has the best seaside location in Namibia – it is constructed DIRECTLY on the rocks of Lüderitz Bay with its own private tidal beach & walk-on jetty with direct sea, peninsula & high sand dunes’ views – truly relaxing! Our drinks prices are competitively priced when compared to other four star hotels in Namibia and our B & B rates are the LOWEST of all four star hotels in Namibia (2014 Expedia online survey). LUDERITZ (1884) is the *mother town* of Namibia. It is where the Germans and Germany set up Deutsche Sudwes Afrika and where the diamonds were discovered.
