Nach mehr als 10 Jahren sind wir wieder auf Madeira zu Besuch. Dieses Mal haben wir uns für das Savoy Palace entschieden. Hauptgrund war der eindrücklich lange Pool. Schreiben kann man viel, aber dieser Pool ist wirklich so lang. Das Hotel ist ein Neubau und im Sommer 2019 wurde eröffnet. Obwohl das Hotel sehr gross ist, verteilen sich die Gäste. Bei der Ankunft erhielten wir ein Zimmer Upgrade, und kamen somit in den Genuss von einem Superior Ocean View Room. Das Frühstück wurde in 2 Restaurants serviert, welche mit einer Showküche verbunden ist. Das Angebot ist bei beiden gleich und reichlich. Auch die warmen Speisen, welche man sich selbst in der Showküche bestellen muss, waren ausgezeichnet. Selten so ein Buffet erlebt. Wir haben es jeden Morgen genossen. Trotz der Grösse des Hotels, fanden wir am Nachmittag immer Platz am Pool. Dieser Pool ist einfach toll. Gross und schön gemacht, mit diesen Mosaiksteinen. Schwimmen kann man ohne Probleme. In der nähe des Hotels ist das Casino. Kann mal gehen, muss aber nicht sein. In das Stadtzentrum läuft man ca. 10-15. Min. da es fast nur abwärts geht, ein angenehmer Spaziergang. Dieses Hotel kann ich wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
