Shinagawa Beach

Ein kleines schönes Hotel, weit ab vom Trubel. Jedoch ist Luft nach oben und manche Dinge sind verbesserungswürdig...

Die Zimmer sind oberflächlich sauber. Es wird ein bis zweimal am Tag sauber gemacht. Die Klimaanlage ist leider schlecht positioniert, da sie genau aufs Bett bläst und eine Erkältung vorprogrammiert ist, aber ohne wird es sehr warm. Die Badezimmer Tür ist schrecklich, da sie automatisch zufällt und die schwere Tür in dem kleinen Bad immer stört. Die Aussicht vom Bett und Balkon auf das Meer ist traumhaft, jedoch ist man jeden Tag unter ständiger Beobachtung der Mitarbeiter des Hotels und der Beachboys, die einem alles mögliche verkaufen wollen und einen nicht aus dem Auge lassen. Das beeinträchtigt einen schon sehr und das Hotel ändert nichts daran. The rooms are superficially clean. It is cleaned once or twice a day. The air conditioning is unfortunately badly positioned, as it blows exactly on the bed and a cold is inevitable, but without it is very warm. The bathroom door is terrible as it automatically locks in and bothers the heavy door in the small bathroom. The view from the bed and balcony to the sea is fantastic, but every day you are under constant observation of the staff of the hotel and the beach boys who want to sell everything possible and keep an eye on you. That affects you a lot and the hotel does not change it.

Aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen bezüglich der Gastronomie habe ich mich für das Hotel entschieden. Jedoch wurde ich ein eines besseren belehrt. Alles in allem eine kleine Katastrophe. Zum Frühstück süßliches Rührei, Curry, salzige Waffeln, keine Brötchen, immer nur Toast. Keine Wurst, selten Käse, weiche kleine matschige Mini Brötchen. Angeblich einmal die Woche ein Barbecue Abend, jedoch in 10 Tagen nicht einmal gewesen. Das Dinner Abends meistens a la carte, leider geschmacklich meistens ein Disaster, entweder geschmacklos, teilweise ungenießbar oder wenn es Nationalgerichte waren, so scharf, das man nach 3 Gabeln nicht weiter essen konnte. Mit den Getränken wird man finanziell ausgebeutet, Recht hochpreisig und immer kommt auf den ausgewiesenen Preis in der Karte noch Service Charge oben drauf. Ich finde der Endpreis sollte in der Karte angegeben sein. Alles in allem, nicht zufriedenstellend und wirklich enttäuschend. Due to the very good reviews regarding the gastronomy I decided for the hotel. However, I was taught a better one. All in all, a small disaster. Sweet breakfast scrambled eggs, curry, salty waffles, no rolls, only toast. No sausage, rarely cheese, soft little mushy mini bread rolls. Supposedly once a week a barbecue evening, but not even in 10 days. The dinner in the evening mostly a la carte, unfortunately mostly a disaster, either tasteless, partly inedible or if it were national dishes, so spicy, that you could not eat after 3 forks. With the drinks one becomes financially exploited, right high-priced and always on the indicated price in the map still service charge on top of it. I think the final price should be stated on the card. All in all, not satisfying and really disappointing.

Der Service ist toll, die Mitarbeiter sind ständig sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jegliche Wünsche oder Anliegen werden zügig erfüllt. The service is great, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Any wishes or requests will be fulfilled quickly

Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, weit weg vom Trubel. Jedoch war die Fahrt vom Flughafen länger als gedacht und angegeben, ca. 3,5 Stunden Fahrt (bei dem Verkehr eine Herausforderung). Sehenswürdigkeiten sind leider weit entfernt. The hotel is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. However, the drive from the airport was longer than expected and stated, about 3.5 hours drive (a challenge in traffic). Sights are unfortunately far away

Beliebte Aktivitäten

• Strand

Es gibt sehr wenig im nahen Umfeld zu sehen. Balapitiya ist nicht so Sehenswürdig, die nächstgrößere Stadt Bentota ist schöner (ca. 20 min. Mit dem Tuk Tuk entfernt). Eine Bootsfahrt auf dem See in Balapitiya ist ganz nett. Ansonsten sind jegliche Touren (Elefanten, Safari, Dschungel, etc. Stunden entfernt) und bei dem Verkehr zieht es sich wie Kaugummi, wer einen empfindlichen Magen hat, sollte eine Reisetablette vorher einnehmen. Die Beachboys am Strand bieten einem sehr aufdringlich jegliche Tour günstiger an, als über den Reiseveranstalter. Der Pool ist Recht verschmutzt, bei unserer Abreise wurde über dem Pool die Hauswand und der Flur nass gereinigt, das komplette Dreckswasser tropfte komplett in den Pool. Sehr anstoßend. Das Meer ist toll, jedoch rechts und links vom Hotel viel Plastikmüll, auch vom Meer angeschwemmt. Man findet morgens und abends tolle Muscheln links am Strand bei den Felsen. Von der Hoteleigenen Massage würde ich stark abraten, nicht professionell und ich hatte zwei Tage sehr starke Schmerzen. Ich empfehle das Junglebeach, ein Bistro/Restaurant mit Bungalowanlage, tolle Location, günstiges leckeres Essen und man fühlt sich wie im Paradies (mit dem Tuk Tuk 3 min. Vom Hotel entfernt). There is very little to see in the immediate vicinity. Balapitiya is not so much sightseeing, the next larger city Bentota is nicer (about 20 minutes away by tuk tuk). A boat trip on the lake in Balapitiya is very nice. Otherwise, any tours (elephants, safari, jungle, etc. hours away) and the traffic is like chewing gum, who has a sensitive stomach should take a travel tablet before. The beach boys on the beach offer a very intrusive any tour cheaper than the tour operator. The pool is quite dirty, on our departure the house wall and the corridor was wet cleaned over the pool, the complete dirty water dripped completely into the pool. Very offensive. The sea is great, but right and left of the hotel a lot of plastic waste, also stranded by the sea. You will find in the morning and evening great shells left on the beach by the rocks. From the hotel's massage I would strongly advise against, not professional and I had two days very severe pain. I recommend the Junglebeach, a bistro / restaurant with bungalow area, great location, cheap delicious food and you feel like in paradise (with the Tuk Tuk 3 minutes away from the hotel)
