If you take in to account that the hotel is in Tunisia it is really a bargain. The rooms are clean, big and light. The bathroom was clean but the toilet lid was broken and the shower curtain didn't hang quite the way it's supposed to. Bath tub was a bit small. There are a lot of Scandinavian people as well as people from the "Eastern Bloc". Staff is pleasant. Breakfast is OK but nothing fancy. Go to Karawan but don't expect it to be a luxury hotel because it isn't. It is however, by tunisian standards, a very adequate hotel
Our room was big and had a nice balcony. You have to realise that you can't expect a Tunisian 3 star hotel to match a North european 3 star hotel. If you understand that you will be much happier.
The food is not very interesting at all. The buffet-style breakfast was OK, even though the tea was bad and cups were hard to come by. The diner was edible enough but I would recommend to visit the local restaurants instead.
Staff is friendly. They speak different languages for instance some swedish. The cleaning was adequate although we could never get as many towels as we wanted.
The location is almost perfect. The beach is 2 steps away. The old town 15 minutes by foot. Railway station is 10 minutes away. 30 minutes to the airport. There are many shops and restaurants in the area.

The main pool was nice and big enough. The water was clean and warm. Every night the staff puts on a show. There's also a popular children disco every night. There's a children pool available.
