Dear Susanne, The beach is sandy and has a shallow entrance into the sea. Please note that our resort features two beach areas: one is protected and has limited sea access, while the other offers free access to the water. The latter is probably also the one you are referring to as the "wider" beach. And yes, this beach is appropriate for children. Kind regards,
