As well as Orebic, it is also known for its unspoiled, great nature such as forests, crystal clear sea water, mountain St. Eliah (peak 961m, good for hiking). Orebi is known for its long maritime history: during the time of Dubrovnik Republic it was important ship building center. It is also known for its seafarers/captains. Today, there are in Orebic many old captain's houses that look like small castles. Mus-see attractions: Island Korcula (15 mins. by ferry), National Park Mljet (45 mins. by ferry), Dubrovnik Old Town (2h drive, by car or by bus).
