Residenza Lucrezia is Ca’ Lucrezia’s second home, a small annex just a five minute walk from the main guesthouse, created for those who dream of experiencing Venice in peace and independence, without giving up the warmth of family hospitality. Our new Residenza is located in Cannaregio, inside a cosy Venetian townhouse spread across the ground floor, first floor, and second floor. This is a lively area, still truly lived in by Venetians, and it is convenient both from Santa Lucia train station and from Piazzale Roma. You can arrive easily by train, bus, or the airport water shuttle, and in just a few steps you will be at the Residenza’s front door. From here, the city is best explored on foot, among quiet little streets, side canals, and lagoon corners that do not need anything extra to move you. Unlike Locanda Ca’ Lucrezia Residenza Lucrezia does not have an on site reception or breakfast service, which you can add to your stay for an extra fee. It is a room only option, ideal if you like complete freedom, with no schedules.

An altana is not just a terrace. It is a traditional wooden rooftop platform, raised above the tiles, created between the 1600s and 1700s as a real open air solarium. In the past, Venetian ladies would spend hours here in the sun, letting their hair lighten to achieve the famous Venetian red, a copper shade that became an icon of elegance across Europe. From up here, people would look out over the city, chat, and watch the lagoon change colour with the shifting light. Today, we have turned this heritage into an experience to enjoy. From the altana, you can gaze across the rooftops, breathe in the lagoon air, and let your eyes wander all the way to the horizon.
