Titel: All Inclusive – und trotzdem viele Extrakosten Nach 23 Stunden Anreise kamen wir im Adaaran Select Medhuparu an. Der Empfang war kurz, danach direkt das Angebot, für 200 USD pro Person den Rückflug per Wasserflugzeug zu buchen. Wir lehnten ab – am Ende flogen wir trotzdem mit dem Wasserflugzeug zurück, ohne dafür zahlen zu müssen (positiv: 400 USD gespart). Unsere gebuchte Beach Villa Deluxe entsprach nicht den Prospektbildern: kein direkter Meerblick, sehr klein, weit hinten gelegen, vor der Terrasse nur Liegen, Laub und Müll. Nach Beschwerde wurde uns eine andere Villa angeboten, die aber unattraktiv lag (Sandsäcke davor). Alternativ Water Villas für 400 €, 300 €, zuletzt 200 € pro Nacht – selbst das hätte über 2.000 € Aufpreis bedeutet. Das Resort ist grundsätzlich schön, das Essen gut, und die Zimmerreinigung war top (2× täglich, frische Handtücher). Negativ: sehr schmutzige Pool-Liegen, die dringend gereinigt werden müssten. Trotz „All Inclusive“ gab es ständig kostenpflichtige Zusatzangebote – z. B. Beach Dinner, Essen in den Water Villas oder eine Seafood-Platte für 140 USD pro Person. Außerdem deutliche Bevorzugung von Stammgästen (grüne Armbänder) mit besonderen Begrüßungen, reservierten Tischen, schnelleren Getränken an der Bar und Willkommenscocktails – als Erstgäste wurden wir deutlich weniger beachtet. Fazit: Schönes Resort mit gutem Essen und sauberer Zimmerpflege, aber ohne gebuchten Meerblick, mit vielen kostenpflichtigen Extras und klarer Zweiklassengesellschaft bei der Gästebetreuung. The welcome was brief, followed immediately by an offer to book our return flight via seaplane for USD 200 per person. We declined – yet in the end, we still flew back by seaplane without paying (positive: saved USD 400). Our booked Beach Villa Deluxe did not match the brochure pictures: no direct sea view, very small, located far back, with only sunbeds, leaves, and litter in front. After complaining, we were offered another villa in an unattractive location (sandbags in front). Alternatively, Water Villas were offered at €400, €300, and finally €200 per night – even the cheapest option would have meant over €2,000 extra. The resort itself is generally beautiful, the food was good, and housekeeping was excellent (twice daily, fresh towels). Negative: very dirty pool loungers that urgently needed cleaning. Despite “All Inclusive”, there were constant paid extras – such as beach dinners, dining in the Water Villas, or a seafood platter for USD 140 per person. In addition, there was clear preferential treatment for repeat guests (green wristbands) with special greetings, reserved tables, faster service at the bar, and welcome cocktails – as first-time guests, we received far less attention. Conclusion: Beautiful resort with good food and excellent housekeeping, but without the booked sea view, with many chargeable extras, and a clear two-class
