Athuruga ist eine eher sehr kleine Insel. Die Strände, das Hausriff, der Zustand der Anlage inkl. der Bungalows, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, die Qualität des Essens und das AI-Konzept überzeugen. Hier kann man sehr gut entspannen.
War im Beach-Bungalow untergebracht (B30). Insgesamt war das Zimmer in einem guten Zustand, fast neuwertig. Es scheint regelmäßig renoviert zu werden. Das Bad im Freien ist sehr schön.
Das Essen ist generell von guter Qualität. Es wird regelmäßig frisch gegrillt, ansonsten frische Pizza, Pasta und weiteres. Es könnte mehr Abwechslung bei den Speisen geben. Beim Frühstück sind die frischen Säfte zu empfehlen.
Sehr aufmerksames und nettes Personal.
ca.20 min Flug mit dem Wasserflugzeug ab Malé. Ansonsten sieht man von der Insel am Horizont ein paar weitere Inseln, sonst nur paradisisches Meer.

Super zum Schnorcheln (gut das die Schnorchelausrüstung im AI inbegriffen ist), ansonsten Tauchstation, Beachvolleyball, Tischtennis. Nicht unbedingt die passende Insel für die, die viel Sport treiben möchten.
