Die Insel ist an sich sehr schön, jedoch die Sicht auf die Wasservillen und auf eine einheimische Insel (auf der natürlich auch Müll verbrannt wird) ist mit dem maledivischen Flair nicht ganz in Einklang zu bringen.
Wir hatten eine Jet Pool Villa (Nr. 136) - lagunenseitig. Hier ist bedingt durch Ebbe und Flut das Baden sehr eingeschränkt. Die Villen mit Blick auf die Wasservillen wären zwar zum Baden besser geeignet, hier ist jedoch der Abtrag durch den Ozean mittlerweile so stark, dass der Strand mit Sandsäcken gesichert wurde. Die Bungalows sind zum Großteil Doppelhäuser und man hört durch die gemeinsame Wand auch die Nachbarn (Toilettengeräusche aufgrund des offenen Bades inklusive) - meiner Meinung nach, nicht sehr maledivisch :-) . Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, jedoch etwas klein. Kleiderablage ist viel zu gering dimensioniert (obwohl man auf die Malediven ja eh nicht viel mitnimmt). Durchgang zwischen Bett und TV-Möbel ist schon für eine Person sehr schmal. Bad im Außenbereich ist sehr schön angelegt und auch großzügig gestaltet, von einem Bad im Jet Pool haben wir Abstand genommen, ua auch, da hier die Aussicht auf die Klimaanlage nicht sehr ansprechend ist und die Armaturen schon sehr von Rost befallen waren. Deutschen Sender gibt es im TV keinen.
Wir hatten All Inclusive gebucht und das auch nicht bereut. Hier sind wirklich alle Getränke (auch im Barbereich) enthalten und die Minibar wird regelmäßig mit Wasser, Fruchtsäften und Bier aufgefüllt. Das gastronomische Angebot richtet sich sehr stark nach den vielen Asiaten, die diese Insel besuchen. Qualitativ sehr gut, die Auswahl könnte etwas größer sein (speziell beim Frühstück).
Service wird im Angsana Velavaru wirklich groß geschrieben! Ein gewünschter Tausch der Villa ging völlig problemlos von statten. Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant- und Barbereich sind immer ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Herauszuheben ist hier noch mal unser Roomboy Azee, der uns unsere Wünsche buchstäblich von den Augen abgelesen hat und jeden sofort erfüllt hat. Danke AZEE!!!!
Die Anreise mit dem Wasserflugzeug ist komplikationslos und dauert ca. 40 Minuten. Auf dieser Insel verbringen sehr viele Asiaten ihren Urlaub, daher ist der Lärmpegel im Restaurant manchmal doch sehr hoch und durch Unruhe geprägt.

Es wird viele Freizeitaktivitäten angeboten (Beachvolley, Bananenfahrten, etc.). Es gibt auch einen Tischtennis-Tisch und eine Boccia-Bahn, die leider nicht bespielbar ist, da die Kugeln durch die urlaubenden Kinder meist "versteckt" wurden. Morgens um 11.00 Uhr hat man täglich die Möglichkeit an einer Schnorcheltour zum Hausriff teilzunehmen.

We are pleased to announce that this local island is now garbage free. We are working on cleaning the entire island to make this a true Local Island with a Robinson Crusoe concept yet aligning to the concept of Maldivian Huts, a one and only Cast Away island. Thank you for your feedback in regards to the seaplane, so far I have no response on this, we have not reviewed this point as many guests love to take pictures of the seaplanes as the land but will certainly make it a point to see if some of the platforms can be relocated. In reference to the positive feedback, trust that we will make sure to acknowledged all named associates, thank you! In reference to the erosion of the beach, throughout the month of February, we experienced higher winds that created some erosion but this section of the beach is already back to normal, we take pride in our beach as being one of the most beautiful ones in the Maldives. We would be delighted to share pictures or video with a date on it for you to see that this side of the beach is back to normal. Some enhancements are being done throughout low season to the bungalows. We would be happy to share the outcome with you but we trust the villas will be splendid in terms of a new category with infinity pool located towards the beachfront, pavilions in the back area or elegant bath tubs depending on the villa, and re-tiling and extra space between TV passage will be enhanced as well. Very well noted on the rusty area of the fittings, we will make sure this is fixed immediately in villa #136. Thank you. Our German market has grown throughout the last year as they love the feeling of this island and trust me that German channels will be placed. We are currently looking into a revision and addition of all of our TV channels. I am so sorry you experienced issued with the holidaying children.
