Das Dara Samui Beach Resort ist ein stilvolles, erwachsenenfreundliches Hotel direkt am Chaweng Beach. Mit traditionellem Thai-Design, einem gepflegten Pool und hilfsbereitem Personal bietet es eine tolle Mischung aus Entspannung und lebendigem Inselleben – perfekt für alle, die Komfort und Strandnähe schätzen.
Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und stets sauber, jedoch auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Reinigungspersonal ist außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Anfahrt und Umgebung - Kurze Anfahrt: Die Fahrt vom Flughafen dauert nur 10–15 Minuten. - Belebte Lage: Direkt am Hotel verläuft eine belebte Straße. Diese Lage hat Vor- und Nachteile: Einerseits bietet sie zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Essen, Feiern und Shoppen, andererseits sorgt vor allem nachts die laute Musik aus den umliegenden Bars und Clubs für Unruhe, was lärmempfindliche Personen stören kann. Laute Bässe waren teils zwischen 1 und 5 Suhr morgens deutlich wahrzunehmen. Strand: Der direkt am Hotel erreichbare Strand ist nicht sonderlich attraktiv, da er aus einer Sandbank mit vorgelagertem Wall besteht. Das Wasser ist daher sehr ruhig und nur gering tief, was ausgedehntes Schwimmen im offenen Meer nahezu unmöglich macht. Bei Ebbe ähnelt das Ganze eher eine Wattwanderung.

We’re glad our central location made it easy for you to explore the vibrant Chaweng area, with its wide variety of dining, shopping, and nightlife. At the same time, we truly understand that the lively surroundings can be a bit too energetic for some guests, especially at night. Your feedback regarding the noise is very valuable and we are looking into additional ways to help minimize its impact for those sensitive to sound. Regarding the beach conditions, we appreciate your comments and understand that the shallow and calm waters may not suit everyone’s preferences. The area does offer beautiful scenery and is ideal for relaxing strolls or paddle board, but we understand it may not always be ideal for open-water swimming, especially during low tide.
