Dear Wolfgang, Thank you very much for the time you have spent writing your review. I am sorry you have found one part of the Island without beach, fortunately the room where you were staying was not affected. Being a Maldives lover, you are aware of the fact that during the Year the monsoon may change the morphology of any Island without any notice, and that is exactly what has happened in Thudufushi. I am sure you have been able to notice that immediately after that happening, we have started a recovering of that side of the Island that at today is almost accomplished, despite the adverse weather conditions. Our mix of clientele at this moment is equally divided between German, Italian, English speakers, with a remaining part of French, and even if the General Manager is not Swiss any longer, the staff is made for the majority of Asian nationalities, Italians are 8 over 176 and the Management has been Italian since the beginning, giving the Island that flair that most of the guest appreciates. Having subsequently spent part of your stay in a Watervilla, you have been able to try, without extra charges, various outlets from the ones we offer: The Main Restaurant with a Buffet where the theme is changed daily and repeated weekly with different dishes; the OverWater restaurant with an a la carte Menu that varies daily and with a vegan option per course; the Teppanyaki restaurant on the beach, the very much appreciated JRE restaurant with Michelin starred Chefs that are proposing their own culinary creations, and our Maldivian corner in the garden area, where a cooking lesson is conducted followed by a dedicated dinner. For what concerns the coral reef, I am sorry again for your disappointment, often guests spots two big turtles that are living just in front of the room you were occupying, a huge moray eel also there, plus another two just beneath the main jetty, lately a grey shark is visiting us, plus the usual array of fishes of various species, maybe due to adverse weather conditions during that time they were not visible, is nature and it can happen. I hope you will reconsider your decision and will come back again and again.
