Eiger Swiss Quality Hotel

Comfortable hotel conveniently located in car-free Muerren, offering many amenities and restaurant, bar, beautiful patio. Family run hotel with super friendly staff and a very customer service-oriented attitude. Large rooms with seating area and plenty of space for your belongings. Our stay totally exceeded our (very high) expectations! Stunning mountain views.

Large rooms that are generously furnished with seating area, fridge and plenty of room for your belongings. We had a quiet room facing the green mountains as the rooms with mountain views were already booked out. Bathroom is nothing fancy but has everything you need and offers enough space. Unfortunately, we didn't get to spend much time in our room as we were out and about enjoying nature and the mountain views!

The only complaint I have was regarding the menu at the restaurant. I would like to see a few more small dishes on the menu and ideally some Swiss items for those who don't wish to eat a big meal for dinner. E.g. other restaurants offer a vegetable plate with potatoes or Rosti which would be nice. I prefer the true Swiss cuisine to the international items on the menu, like the Nasi Goreng. Due to my food allergies, my choices were rather limited.

The staff at the Reception had answered our questions beforehand, took note that I was a gluten-free guest and even remembered that we wanted an upgrade for my mother if available! Meanwhile, the waitress at breakfast brought fresh croissants to our table when she noticed that I wasn't able to get any from the buffet. Very accommodating staff both at Reception and the restaurants.

Located in the car-free town of Muerren with beautiful views of the alps, especially Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau! Hotel is across the BLM train station from Lauterbrunnen; nevertheless, there is a porter taking care of your luggage! The gondola and train from Lauterbrunnen take about 30 minutes and you get to enjoy fabulous views!
