Wir sind im Großen und Ganzen zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im Castello Bianco. Das Apartment ist geräumig und hat alles was man braucht, das Personal ist freundlich und die Lage ist in Ordnung. Es sind allerdings wahrscheinlich selten kleine Kinder zu Gast, so dass wir noch einiges für unsere kleine 1-jährige Tochter klären mussten.
Das Apartment war schön und ausreichend mit allem, was man braucht. Ein Babybett wurde uns am zweiten Tag noch zur Verfügung gestellt,was aber ein Fehler des Reiseveranstalters war. Unser Zimmer lag nur leider direkt an der Straße und an den Tischen, wo gegessen wurde also konnten wir abends nicht wirklich in Ruhe auf der Terrasse sitzen.
Das Essen war an sich gut. Dadurch, dass es kein Buffet gab, sondern immer verschiedene Vorspeisen und dann eine Auswahl aus 3 Hauptgerichten und einem Dessert war das Essen qualitativ wirklich gut. Allerdings mussten wir erstmal klären, dass unsere 1-jährige Tochter auch etwas zu Essen bekommt, da sie normal bei uns mit isst, was scheinbar in Griechenland mit 1 Jahr nicht üblich ist.
Das Personal war immer freundlich und bemüht, dass unsere Bedürfnisse mit unserer kleinen 1-jährigen Tochter erfüllt wurden. Nur sind scheinbar nicht so oft kleine Kinder zu Gast, so dass wir einige Dinge wie einen passenden Hochstuhl, etwas passendes zu Essen und Babybett erstmal klären müssten.
Hotel liegt an einer befahrenen Straße und man muss durch eine Unterführung zum Strand ca 15min laufen. Im Ort selbst gibt es wenig, aber Rethymnon ist mit dem Bus leicht zu erreichen und dort gibt es alles was man braucht.

Keinerlei Entertainment vorhanden. Für uns völlig in Ordnung. Der Pool war optisch sehr schön, da er gläsernd ist. Für unsere kleine Tochter hätten wir uns allerdings ein Platschbecken, in dem sie Stehen kann gewünscht statt nur einem etwas flacherem Becken.

But let me also reply to some of your comments: Concerning the room, we have two types of One Bedroom Apartments. We sell, One-Bedroom apartment and One_bedroom Apartment Street Side. This second type of apartment is located next to the road and can be noisy at certain times of the day. For this reason, we sell them at a lower price. It is therefore, specially for families with very young children to make sure where the apartment is located. Unfortunately, some tour operators do not always mention the "Street Side". This is a general problem with the internet for all hotels. Because tour operators sell exchange rooms between them (most of the time, without informing the hotels), sometimes the descriptions get "lost" along the way. We can have a contract with one company and then we find the hotel in maybe 500 websites!!! and it is totally impossible to check them all and even to know who the original seller is. Concerning the food for very young children (under the age of 2), the hotel policy is that they are free of charge but their food is not included. This is not a question of cost, it is a question of recipes. Very young children have needs and particularities which are not the same as with older children or adults. We have no problem at all providing food for very small children but we want parents to know that we do not produce food with recipes adapted to their needs. Our approach on the matter is only guided by our desire to protect their welfare. As you said, we produce high quality and tasty food but this not always compatible with the needs of very young children. I am sorry for this very lengthy reply but when I have the possibility, I like to make clear for you and for future guests the reasons behind some of the comments made.
