Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Kauai at Coconut Beach

Location is very nice, lots of parking lots available. Room nice size and clean. Very small bathrooms. Room was clean. View medium (Oceanview through the garden), very small balcony. Entire hotel is very dingy, tables in the very pretty bar are dirty on top (cleaned but blurred) and also on the tableleg (not cleaned over days), carpet etc. Also small side tables in the reception area have been cleaned not well. The clue was the washer and the dryer. I have never seen in my entire traveltime (30 yrs) so dirty washers in the States. The glassdoors have been clotted with old detergent etc. and was all grey/black. The have not been cleaned since days or weeks. Also during my stay of 5 days they looked always the same dirty, only my complaint has made them clean - for once and never again. This was disgusting as a hygenic area. Also all the chicken running and flying around freely on the hotelground are disgusting and unhygenically. The walk on the floor, fly on the table (breakfast mostly), on the chairs, eat from there, leave their excrements everywhere. My complaint didn't help, although the manager said, the try to clean. But I mentioned it to one of the waitress if she could clean away a spot nearby and she said "oohhh" and didn't do anything. The entire hotel looks good on the internet, I was so looking forward to some pretty stays. But the pillows on the hammocks or longues are all dirty, as well as the entire hotel is only superficially clean. Interesting: the rooms have been always clean and well. I would not go again, especially for the prize. I guess as an European I have to go with 4-stars to be on the sure side to have a 3-star in European view. Service is medium as too many employees are not very helpfull or kind.

Schmuddeliges Hotel, ungepflegt, überall Hühner, die alles vollmachen mit Kot. Auf Fotos sieht alles sehr gut aus, aber in Echt sind die Kissen auf allen Stühlen, sei dies Bar, Restaurant und Relaxstühlen alle schmutzig. Für ein Marriot viel Besseres erwartet.

Eventoffice im Hotel für Freizeitaktivitäten, diese waren supergut.
