The hotel is very centrally located. There are only a few minutes walk to the Metro (Sadat) and the Egyptian Museum. Restaurants such as Café Riche, or Falfala are just around the corner. The rooms are spacious and clean and have private Facilities. Unfortunately, there is no TV. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can use also the laptop at the reception to research on the Internet. The breakfast could be more lush. The hotel is a mix of backpackers hostel and a proper hotel. If you get off from one of the old rusty elevators you are surprised about the size of the reception area which is nicely furnished. There again, I'll take a room when I am in Cairo.
