Hotel Jägerhof

Paid 165 ChF B+B. Expensive considering reception and room comfort. Taps in bathroom hard to open + shower had hardly any water pressure! Asked for duvet without feathers. Got duvet with feathers and hotelier's wife said that it hadn't feathers!! I ordered duvet without feathers in advance. Very old fashioned buiding. As Iwas going to a Conference I wanted to go to my room and then find the Hotel where the Conference was taking place by 16.30. Came back after 21.00. Naturally, wanted to have access to my room before leaving. The only good thing was the breakfast. Service was good. Wouldn't recommend this Hotel to my friends. Restaurant for evening meal was too expensive for me. I don't need a "Gourmet" restaurant. It's a pity that the odd Hotel or two give such a bad name to Swiss hotelry! I often stay at a Hotel in Davos where you immediately feel at home asnd everything "stimmts". Price was too high for the service offered. Very disappointing.

Bathroom very badly kept. Taps very stiff to turn on and off! Shower had very little water without any pressure. Trouble getting the right duvet!! which was ordered in advance.

I didn't stay at this Hotel because of the food, but for the convenience of it's position.

Very poor reception! Disappointing.

The Hotel was situated in a quiet street which was ideal for my needs and a short walk from the Hotel where my Conference was held. Had difficulty in finding a Hotel as there was a "Symposium" being held in St.Gallen at the same time as I was there, this was probably the reason why rooms everywhere where very expensive.
