Hotel Papillon Lagoon Reef

Dear Marion, Thank you for finding time to post a review of your holiday at Papillon. Your input and feedback from all our guests help us in ensuring an excellent level of hospitality is maintained. We are pleased to note that you found all our staff to be diligent and the food was very good. Whilst majority of our customers enjoy the daily animation and evening entertainment in offer, we will look into ways of improving the evening entertainment program. Obviously, the lodges on safari are of much higher category than Papillon Lagoon Reef and this is reflected in their overnight rates. We are delighted the vast majority of our customers appreciate Papillon offers excellent value for money and remains the source of happy memories for very many of our guests as can be seen in their holiday reviews. I apologize for the problems you experienced with other noisy and disorderly clients around the pool bar and the beach vendors. We are giving further training to our staff on how to handle customers whose excitement might interfere with other clients’ enjoyment of their holiday at Papillon. Beaches in Kenya are public. We have G4S guards patrolling the beach boundaries of the hotel 24hrs a day. However, many guests actually court beach vendors and obviously encourage them to further tout for business. The hotel normally calls Tourist Police whenever a client reports beach harassment. We have more than enough sun beds for our customers to enjoy a relaxing sun bathing by the spacious pool garden.
