Dear Guests, Thank you for choosing to stay at Summer Lodge and for taking the time to write your detailed feedback. Our guests’ satisfaction is what we strive for, and any comments that help us maintain the high standard and friendly service, for which our guest-house is known, are warmly welcomed. We are indeed sorry that we failed to deliver a high level of service to you during your short stay at our hotel and would like to extend our apologies for the disappointing impression you received. Your feedback has been well noted and will be addressed in order to improve this rare lapse in service on our part. However we would like to note that - a. As Summer Lodge is proudly participating as active member in the GreenLeaders eco program introduced by TripAdvisor, we have installed a cooling fan in each bedroom instead of the energy consuming A/C. This is perfectly mentioned in our description and should be taken under consideration before proceeding to any booking, since our guest-house is mainly oriented towards environmentally responsible travelers. - b. All private bedrooms have a shared balcony or spacious terrace which is also clearly mentioned in our website. - c. The toilet in your room is working perfectly, as long as our guests respect the notice written also in German that they should put the used toilet paper in the bin provided, instead of throwing it inside the toilet as it was continuously happening in your case. Maid service is provided twice a week as it is clearly mentioned in our website. However, allow me to say that the day our cleaner serviced your room during your short stay, came back in tears complaining about the unacceptable condition and filth she had to deal with, mentioning among others the food leftovers all around your bedroom. This may explain the presence of the ants you correctly noted in your review. - d. Summer Lodge is located in a small village and has access from the local street that serves our neighborhood. The main road is about one kilometer away and is rather impossible any noise to be heard from that distance. - e. Continental breakfast consists of freshly brewed coffee (unlimited servings) freshly squished orange juice, toasted sandwiches filled with ham & cheese, fresh bread & biscuits served with butter & choice of jam & marmalade and all these with just 4 EURO. Above description and price are displayed clearly in front of our breakfast area. - f. Summer Lodge has been repeatedly awarded prizes and has received distinctions by several travel portals including TripAdvisor, HolidayCheck &Venere to mention some. Part of these achievements belongs to our dedicated staff which always provides services with smile and professionalism. We greatly value your review and all comments received from our guests are welcome. However, what really surprises us is the fact that Katja, the lady was staying in the next room to you sharing the balcony, has a total different opinion expressed according to her review which is published following yours. We thank you again for your valuable feedback as comments such as yours allow us to address certain areas in need of improvement.
