Dear „Imre”, First of all let me thank you for staying at our K+K Hotel Opera during your visit in Budapest and for your valuable time taken to share your experiences. Let me assure you that I am taking your comment very seriously and I have investigated the situation. I would like to kindly inform you, that we provide our prices in euro, but according to the hungarian law, we could charge the credit cards only in the local currency (HUF). To convert the prices from euro to forint, we use the official exchange rate - provided by the Hungarian National Bank. Unfortunately, as every bank is different, your bank might apply a different exchange rate. This could be the reason of the difference between the prices, but if you check the total amount of your invoice, you can see, that the final euro amount is totally equal to the quoted price. As you might have learned from other reviews and management responses, we are dedicated to make each and every stay a memorable one. We always have a solution to solve any kind of inconvenience. I am really sorry that you did not let us know that you were worried about the final amount of your stay, and we were not able to assist you – however at the Reception Desk we accept cash payments in different currencies. This process allows you to pay exactly the amount which was quoted in euro, and could not cause any exchange rate differences.
