Best Western Hotel Goldenmile Milan

Dear reader, i stayed one night in this hotel for business purposes. The location is not the nicest, there is basically nothing to do in this area. From the outside the hotel is not really eye candy. Consequently the view from the room is not good. The girls at the reception are friendly but take some time for checking out. The credit card reader is very slow. The room looks nice at first sight but there are some downturns: - the tv is very bad and you basically have to watch italian tv if you want to watch tv. The german channels are very blurry and they only have one speaking channel(BBC news or CNN, not sure anymore) - the bathroom: the washing basin had stains everywhere. - no possibility to open the window so you are stuck with the airco which i couldnt turn off. The good thing about the room is the bed. If you like hard matresses like myself you are sight for a comfy night. I didnt use the wellness area but i had a look at it and it looked ok. The swimming pool is not too big but good enough to cool off a bit. There are some machines in the gym but you dont have any privacy because people going to the sauna walk past you when you are on the treadmill. I only ate the fruit at breakfast so i cannot judge the general quality. They had fresh ananas, kiwis and apple. My colleagues and myself wanted to have a drink at the bar after work but the lady working there is so unfriendly that you quickly realize that you made a mistake. When we arrived back in the hotel after a restaurant visit around 11 pm, the bar was already closed. If u just want to sleep here, it is ok. At 115 euros incl breakfast per night, you cannot complain. I cannot compare with other Italian hotels because this was my first stay in Milano.
