Eigentlich gut gelegenes Strandhotel, etwas abseits von lärmenden Massentouristen. Leider hat das Hotel sich aber rigorose Corona Maßnahmen überlegt, die den Urlaub deutlich einschränken. Anders, als in anderen Hotels auf Kreta, wurden jegliche Angebote, die etwas Spaß oder Abwechslung versprochen hätten, untersagt. Am schlimmsten waren aber die deutschen Corona Anhänger, die immer und überall, auch gerne mal am Strand, maskiert umherliefen. Ein entspanntes Urlaubsgefühl konnte da nicht aufkommen. Bekannte, die uns aus anderen Hotels besuchte, waren entsetzt, da in den anderen Hotels niemand zu einer Maskierung gezwungen wurde und auch Aktivitäten, wie zB Beachvolleyball, erlaubt waren. Insofern, ein eigentlich gutes Hotel, mit überzogenen Maßnahmen und überzogenen Gästen, die typisch deutsche Charaktereigenschaften auch im Urlaub nicht ablegen können....

Typisches Buffetrestaurant mit gehobener Kantinenqualität. Alle 7 Tage das gleiche Essen, jeden Tag das gleiche Frühstück. Glas Wein 6 €, das Bier 5 €, Tzaziki am Strand 9 € !!! Zum Glück gibt es am Strand, 100 Meter links eine urige Taverne mit wesentlich moderateren Preisen und viel besserem Essen.

Direkte Strandlage. ca 35 Minuten Gehweg nach Rethymnon. Taxifahrt nach Rethymnon 8 €.

Es gibt nichts. Andere Hotels haben ihre Angebote wegen Corona nicht gestoppt. Dieses Hotel bietet nichts, kein Beachvolleyball, kein Wassersport, kein Fitnessraum, keine abendliche Bar, alles wegen Corona. Aber man gerne eine Massage buchen, zum Corona Sonderpreis von 104 €, für 60 Minuten !!

We are happy to read that you enjoyed the location of the resort, the facilities as well as the friendliness of the staff. Nevertheless, we were disappointed to read that we did not exceed your expectations, due to the COVID-19 measures we took following WHO, EU and Greek state’s guidelines aiming at containing the spread of the coronavirus. We fully understand that especially this year, after a long period of lockdown and travel restrictions, carefree holidays were most important than before. However, our top priority was the health and safety of our dear guests, colleagues and associates. Therefore, under these unprecedented circumstances we all experienced this summer, we had to temporarily adjust our operational procedures and product, thus creating a safe for all but a relaxing holiday environment for our esteemed guests, an altogether different format though from the normal, yet so necessary. It goes without saying that when vaccinations start and we all get back to our normal lives, we will reinstate all our services and operations to the usual high standard offerings you know Grecotel is so well known for. In particular with, the sport facilities we assume that there has been lack of information and we would like to note that watersports and designated gym rooms for individual use were available.
