Das Hotel selber ist schon in Ordnung (ob 5 Sterne wert, ist eine andere Frage). Der Pool ist stark geheizt (32 Grad im Feber) und sehr klein. Ausreichend Liegestühle und Badetücher werden gratis ausgegeben. Genügend Platz in der Lobby, der Bar, dem Speisesaal usw.
Große Zimmer mit großem Bett; alles sauber. Klimatisierung recht laut, selbst wenn man es schafft, sie abzustellen, hört man die Klimageräusche von nebenan. Möblierung etwas abgenützt und Old Style. Safe, Kühlschrank, Flat, Wlan und ein Minibalkon sind vorhanden.
Das Buffet mag ich nicht wirklich bewerten, weil nicht meinem Geschmack entsprechend. Es bot große Auswahl, wobei die Nachspeisen noch am ehesten europäisch anmuteten. Die Grillerei -live im Freien und auch am Buffet - war enttäuschend; Rindfleisch als Spieß und in Steakform war zäh und fast ungenießbar. Fisch hingegen gut. Keine Teigwaren als Beilage, nur ungewürzter Reis aber gut gewürzte Katroffel.
Viel Personal, alle recht freundlich, aufmerksam, aber nicht wirklich herzlich (im Vergleich zum Stadthotel in Abu Dhabi)
Die Anfahrt vom Airport Abu Dhabi dauert rund 2,5 Stunden, man fährt auf einer mehrspurigen Autobahn, umgeben von nichts als Wüste. In der Umgebung gibt es nichts zu sehen, man kann entlang der Autobahn spazieren gehen. Der Strand ist klein und von irgendwelchen Sperrgebieten abgegrenzt (man darf keine Teleobjektive verwenden ?!?)

Ich war schon in vielen Strandhotels, aber noch nie in einer Location, die sich überhaupt keine Gedanken um die Unterhaltung der Gäste machte. Keine Ausflugsangebote, keine Events im Hotel. Wir erlebten einen Schlechtwettertag - man kann nur rumsitzen und warten bis der Tag vergeht - oder sich ansaufen, was einige Gäste auch taten, zumal alkoholische Getränke Teil des All inklusive waren.

However, I must point out our beach is a total span of 800 meters and we do offer water sports activities such as Kayak and Stand up Paddles. Regarding the food, we are sorry that the buffet and the barbecue did not meet your taste, especially the quality of the beef. We will certainly look into improving the consistency and quality of our offerings, particularly with regards to meat. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the fish, and we will work to ensure the variety and seasoning of side dishes are more to your liking. We understand your concerns about the air conditioning noise, and we will investigate this issue to ensure that it doesn't impact the comfort of our guests.
