Hotel Gewürzmühle

I was traveling by myself throughout the Southern part of Germany, when I was a guest at the Gewürzmühle in Berching. I had wonderful experience at this enchanting place with its wonderful owners and attentive staff. The hotel's staff impressed me with their friendliness and their curtesy at all times during my stay at the hotel - from check-in to check-out. Frau Marianne and Herr Franz Salzer were wonderful hosts and we chatted about the town Berching and also about the interesting and long history of the hotel. As a fellow antiquity appreciator, I liked the ambiance of the hotel with its wonderfully restored furniture, the reference to the classical opera composer Christoph Willibald Gluck and the archeological discovery of an old cellar aside from the very nice restauration and repurposing of the original flour mill. I also tremendously enjoyed my plentiful and tasty breakfasts and traditional Southern Bavarian lunches. I admired the fact that a lot of the ingredients in my food were sourced locally from food producers that the Salzer family had direct relationships with. The staff also made excellent latte macchiato, which I greatly appreciated. My room was very tastefully decorated with lively colors and excellently picked out statement furniture pieces which led to my very relaxing and inspiring stay.
