Ponte degli Scalzi , which is simply "the bridge of the barefoot" is one of four bridges located on the Grand Canal in Venice, along with Rialto Bridge, Ponte dell'Accademia and Ponte della Costituzione. It is located near Santa Lucia railway station. Its construction began on 4 May 1932, according to project by Italian architect Eugenio Miozzi. Work on the bridge, made of the Istria stone, ended on October 28, 1934. This design replaced the iron bridge, which stood on this site since 1858.

Diese Brücke liet ganz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, sie soll die meist genutzte Brücke in Venedig sein. Auch die Haltestelle der Vaporettis liegt dort. In den Jahren 1032 bis 1933 wurde sie aus Kalkstein errichtet, denn die Eisenbrücke aus der Österreichischen Zeit war etwas älter und passte nicht mehr in die damalige Zeit der Serenissima.
