Aus DeutschlandDas Hotel besteht aus 2 Komplexen auf einem weiträumig angelegten Arial. Der zweite Komlex über 2 Brücken erreichbar, ist sehr mondän und macht einen luxeriösen Eindruck. Der Weg zum Strand ist von hier allerdings länger. Es gibt verschiedene Pools und einen hoteleigenen Strand der eigentlich ganz schön ist. An einigen Stellen ragen komische verrostete Metallspitzen 20 cm aus dem Grund. Am linken Buchtende. ( Unfallgefahr) 5 Sterne Gastronomie sollte man nicht erwarten obwohl häufig von besseren Bewertungen zu lesen ist. Das italienische sowie das griechische Restaurant kommen in die Nähe von 5 Sternen. Fluglärm muss in Kauf genommen werden.
Wir hatten einen Deluxe Bungalow. Hier gab es von der Größe , Ausstattung nichts zu meckern. Jedoch wurde unser Meerblick durch hohe Bäume und Bebauung doch um 50% eingeschränkt.
Das Hauptrestaurant ist für die Anzahl der Gäste und 5 Sterne viel zu klein. Man fühlt sich eher in der Mensa als im 5 Sterne Hotel. Das Essen an sich ist zwar in Ordnung aber es gibt kaum etwas besonderes immer wiederkehrend die gleichen Speisen. Der Wein kommt zwar aus dem Hahn ist aber durchaus trinkbar. Zum Frühstück gibt es frischen Orangen Saft, das hat uns mal positiv überrascht.
Das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit. An unserem Hinweis, das ein Flutlicht uns direkt auf der Terrasse blendet wurde aber während unseres Aufenthaltes aber nichts getan. Die Reinigungskräfte machen ihren Job aber eher oberflächlich.
Es gibt einen kleinen Nachbarort, der nicht sehr viel hergibt aber mit dem Bus ca. 10-15 Gehminuten kann man Aegios Nikolaos erreichen oder Heraklion. Einmal pro Tag hält auch ein Bus nach Ageios Nikolaos direkt am Hotel und fährt nachmittags auch mit Halt am Hotel wieder zurück. Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Einflugschneise. Man sollte also eher nempfindlich gegen Fluglärm sein, der besonders am Abend stört

Am Strand gab es ausreichend Liegen die aber auch sehr dicht standen. Am Hauptpool eher zu wenig. Leider gibt es auch hier viele die das asoziale Verhalten zeigen morgens die Liege(n) mit Handtüchern zu reservieren. Obwohl Schilder des Hotels darum bitten dies nicht zu tun und bei Nichtbeachtung die Handtücher entfernt werden wird dies leider nicht umgesetzt.

As regards the distance from the Terra Building to Maris Building/ beach, we would like to clarify that it is about five minutes by foot, a pleasant route through the bungalows’ area and the beautiful plants and flowers. As regards the metal spikes, we would like to really thank you about your comment! We have already checked the point mentioned and you are right! There was a metal spike which we immediately removed, so now the area is 100% safe! Furthermore, although, the flight path is found above Creta Maris Beach Resort, still the resort is located 24 km from the Heraklion International Airport, a significant distance though. Moreover, we will take into consideration your comment about the superficial job our housekeeping staff does, although we are very surprised to read it as the vast majority of our reviews mention their job as an excellent one. Continuing please allow us to inform you that our main restaurants can accommodate simultaneously 1050 guests (Estia Restaurant accommodates 350 guests, while Cosmos Restaurant 700 guests), a significant number compared to other restaurants of similar five stars hotels. As regards the offered food, we do our best in order to satisfy all the tastes, while at the same time to provide high quality local ingredients. In the 6 restaurants found on the premises of Creta Maris Beach Resort, traditional cuisine meets with "guest cuisines" and offers wonderful gastronomical delights. All ingredients are supplied by local producers and are prepared following local and Mediterranean recipes. We hope you have mentioned something to our staff in order to try satisfying any particular culinary need of yours. Furthermore, as you correctly mentioned we urge our guests not to reserve sunbeds with a towel and we do our best to remove all towels from the sunbeds that are not occupied. Please let us inform you that apart from the 350m long beach and the main pool, Creta Maris offers as well as 5 more pools with sunbeds and umbrellas.
